iPresent Streamlines Sales Collateral For iPad Access

Anticipation of the iPad3 has initiated a great deal of industry conversation about the role of tablets as a business tool. Industry estimates indicate that less than 2% of iPad apps available are truly for commercial business use.

According to Forrester Research forecasts, enterprises will spend 58% more on Apple hardware in 2012 than they did 2011 – an estimated $19 billion. Moreover, the research firm expects that figure to reach $28 billion by 2013.The potential to utilize tablets in a sales transaction is largely untapped due to a lack of software available to optimize the device’s functionality.

Developed by Compsoft plc, UK-based developer of mobile and tablet apps, iPresent for iPad is a new business tool for organizations to manage, access and present sales content. Compsoft also develops bespoke apps for companies including npower, Symantec, Hotels.com and Computacenter.

iPresent is an interactive tool designed for use by sales teams interacting with customers, as well as for executives who require access to corporate collateral on the go.  The app and content management system (CMS) are designed to allow organisations to push rich content out to any number of iPads.

iPresent’s CMS allows users to centrally manage all content, and to create stylish, branded menus.  Focused on providing executives with centralized control, the solution offers a streamlined way to ensure the alignment of messaging and business objectives.

iPresent provides access to a variety of content — including video, pdfs, images, audio and spreadsheets — via an iPad interface that can be branded by the customer.  iPresent is primarily designed to empower sales people with access to all the collateral they need, when they need it, to inform, interact and engage with their customers.  iPresent’s security model also lets organizations group users and selectively grant access rights to different content, ensuring users only view information intended for them.

“The iPad is great for showing business slides, a movie clip or a technical document, but, until now, it hasn’t been able to organize all that content into one convenient place, for easy access,” said Phil Lenton, CEO, Compsoft Plc. “iPresent addresses this problem by organizing and structuring the content, which can then be presented via fully customizable interactive iPad menu systems that can be tailored to fit any brand.”
