Sage Enhances CRM System And Expands Memory Capacity For Cloud Solution


SageSage North America yesterday announced the release of Sage SalesLogix v8.0 CRM system with enhancements to the web and mobile interfaces designed to simplify role-based data access, searching and collaboration. Other additional features include enhanced security options and new administrator customization tools.

Sage has also advanced Sage SalesLogix Cloud deployment capabilities with additional memory capacity, an improved “Go Live” process and expanded performance testing, according to a company release.

Aprimo Focuses On Productivity With Marketing Studio Update

this week released an update to its integrated marketing management suite, including a number of new features aimed at improving usability and productivity.

Aprimo Marketing Studio 8.8 is being billed by the company as a "high productivity" version of its flagship integrated marketing management (IMM) offering. According to the company, the update includes dozens of enhancements that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of users' marketing campaigns.

CMO Council Study Reports Growing Budgets, Greater Focus On Digital Initiatives


Marketing executives are increasingly confident about their organizations' business performance, according to a new study from the CMO Council. Yet many CMOs still see major room for improvement in their digital marketing capabilities.

The group's "State of Marketing 2012" report found that fewer than one in five CMOs think their teams excel at digital marketing. Nevertheless, an average of 27% of a company's marketing budget is now spent on digital initiatives, compared to 23% devoted to traditional marketing campaigns.

Acquia Closes $30 Million In Funding


Drupal cloud hosting provider, Acquia, recently announced the company has completed a $30 million financing round. The investment, led by Investor Growth Capital, brings the total investment in the company to $68.5 million.

Participants in the funding round include Goldman Sachs, Accolade Partners and current investors North Bridge Venture Partners, Sigma Partners and Tenaya Capital. In addition, Jose Suarez of Investor Growth Capital has joined the Board of Directors at Acquia.

Lattice Engines Closes $20M Venture Funding Round

LatticeEngines announced today that it has raised $20 million in venture funding.

According to a company news release, the Series C funding round will be led by New Enterprise Associates, with existing investor Sequoia Capital also participating.

Lattice Engines is a provider of predictive analytics tools designed for use by sales and marketing organizations. The company is considered to be a leader in the shift towards Big Data applications designed to analyze customer behavior and apply that analysis to marketing and sales pipeline forecasting.

Salesforce.com Reports Strong Q3 Results, Expects To Hit $4B Revenue In 2014

reported yesterday that it beat Wall Street expectations for its Q3 2012 earnings, and that it is on track to become the first cloud computing company with a $4 billion revenue run rate.

The CRM vendor reported revenue of $788 million, or 33 cents a share, an increase of 35 percent from Q3 of 2011. The company also reported a net loss of $220 million, or $1.55 a share, mostly due to a one-time tax-related charge. Excluding the charge, the company would have reported earnings of 33 cents a share.

Marketo Ramps Up Marketing Nation With Program Exchange, Partner Ecosystem


On November 14, Marketo announced the launch of LaunchPoint, the company's new partner ecosystem. The announcement was the third in a series related to the company's Marketing Nation initiative, which was launched in late October.

The current announcements related to the Marketing Nation initiative include:

Marketo Program Exchange. Marketo is developing a shared library of pre-built, verified marketing programs for the company's user community. Program Exchange templates cover categories such as lead scoring, email campaigns, lead nurturing, webinar creation and SEM.
