Genius.com Surpasses 1,000 Free Accounts; Announces 7% Conversion to Paying Customers

Genius.com announced that it has surpassed 1,000 free accounts since rolling out its freemium model in August 2010. The free product is designed to offer customers an “easy entry” into advanced marketing. Genius.com said the new accounts have doubled month over month, with more than 7% converting to paying customers to date. Currently more than 1,700 companies and 20,000 users use Genius to implement effective marketing processes.

"In a market that traditionally has a high barrier for entry, our freemium model lets customers engage at the position that works best for them,” said Sam Weber, CEO of Genius.com. “Users aren't only signing up for free accounts, but they are using it regularly and converting to paid customers. Most organizations, even the largest, aren't always ready for full marketing automation right off the bat. We provide an affordable, accessible option to easily and effectively get started, realize impactful ROI and scale as it makes sense for the customer."

Genius provides marketing automation, demand generation and email marketing. The company’s free product also provides self-service integrated web site tracking, email marketing and social media campaign. The free product, Genius.com said, continues to draw attention from both small to mid-sized businesses as well as individual departments at large enterprises.
