Act-On Software, a cloud-based marketing automation platform, recently announced its results for Q3 2011. During the quarter, Act-On added 164 new customers, an increase from 137 in Q2 2011. The company also increased annual recurring revenues by more than 400% year over year.
“We continue to experience unprecedented growth within the marketing automation industry because we deliver the experience that marketers really need, without any pricing or packaging gimmicks,” said Raghu Raghavan, Founder and CEO of Act-On Software. “Our adoption rates continue to validate the incredible demand within the Fortune 5 Million for our solution. We have grown adept at servicing the needs of agile marketing teams, and their growing and evolving needs are fully baked into our DNA. This is only the beginning of this market’s rapid evolution, and we expect to be a leader for years to come.”
One driver of Act-On’s Q3 growth was the recent launch of its Hot Prospects solution. Hot Prospects is a real-time lead and opportunity barometer, designed to provide a graphical dashboard within Salesforce.com that allows salespeople to focus on ready-to-buy prospects. In July 2011, Act-On also acquired the assets of marketing automation solution provider Marketbright.
Through its partnership with Insidesales.com, Act-On will integrate its marketing platform into the Insidesales.com PowerDialer and Lead Management suites. The partnership was established to help streamline the passing of leads between marketing and sales by providing real-time analytics data. The integration will tentatively be available in Q4 2011.
In response to increased demand for its marketing automation solutions, the Beaverton, OR-based company also boosted its employee count by more than 33%, and anticipates another 20% boost by Q4 2011.
Act-On has moved to larger offices in Beaverton, OR, and Roseville, CA, and recently opened a Silicon Valley office in Menlo Park, CA. The company also announced new additions to its team, including Shawn Naggiar, who was promoted from VP of Sales and Services to Chief Revenue Officer. Jay Shah joined Act-On as VP of Business Development. Previously, Jay was VP of Business Development for WebEx Communications and then became senior director of business development at Cisco. With past experience as VP of customer operations at WebEx Communications and Cisco, Troy Strahl is currently leading as VP of Customer Success.
