New Crowdsourcing Marketplace For Sharing Sales Leads Launched By Market2Lead Founder

Crowdsourcing has emerged as a popular and high growth business model in industries from fashion to media to venture capital. Now a new business launch by the founder of Market2Lead is planning to tap into the collective intelligence of peers to provide a source of sales-ready leads.

Billed as the world’s first peer-to-peer lead exchange, LeadTip.com launched this week as a “sales-ready” marketplace for sharing tips on customers ready to make a purchase.

“Organizations waste billions of dollars on spray-n-pray lead generation campaigns with very low lead yield,” said Geoff Rego, Founder of marketing automation vendor Market2Lead and Co-Founder and CEO of LeadTip. “Low lead yield forces sales people to waste time self prospecting instead of closing sales. LeadTip was founded to change cold calling into crowd sourced prospecting. With LeadTip’s’s new exchange, your sales leads look for you instead of you trying to find a needle in a haystack.”

The exchange is built on the notion that sales people will share tips or leads on sales-ready opportunities for products and solutions they don’t sell themselves, but know their existing customers are looking to buy.

LeadTip’s patent-pending platform brings together tip-sellers and tip-buyers, in what Rego calls a safe and secure environment. At the same time, he said the marketplace retains and maintains the identity of the seller and buyer from each other allowing peers to complete their transaction using their online “avatars,” as well as a private Q&A channel to facilitate communications between buyers and sellers.

The LeadTip exchange will allow buyers to “bid” on leads based on the qualification and criteria provided, and will also allow the seller to determine an acceptable price for the lead entered into the system. Once the cost of the lead is agreed upon, that complete information on that lead is provided exclusively to the buyer.

Rego added that LeadTip will usher in social lead generation and will address the inefficient practices of affiliate marketing and cold calling.
