Act-On Emerges As New Kid In Town Among Automation Vendors

Already experiencing 20x customer growth over the past year, Act-On Software announced this week that its flagship Act-On Marketing Service had received AppExchange certification from Salesforce.com.

In addition to ease of use and simplicity for SMBs, a unique aspect of the Act-On Marketing Service is its out-of-the-box integration with both WebEx and Salesforce.com. “With our deep integration with both WebEx and Salesforce.com, our customers no longer have to worry about webinars being outside the fold of marketing and sales process, nor do they have to continue a manual data transfer process between these two key platforms. It is all wired together and works seamlessly,” said Shawn Naggiar, VP of Sales and Business Development for Act-On.

In line with its focus on integrating previously disparate marketing tasks, the Act-On Marketing Service for Salesforce.com is designed to enable marketing departments to manage all of their online marketing channels, including online events, from a single web application. “The Act-On Marketing Service has allowed my marketing organization to stop managing multiple marketing systems with disparate data and focus more time on true demand generation and the creative elements of marketing,” said Alan Brown, VP of Marketing for Apptricity, one of Act-On’s customers.

With access to their Salesforce.com database of contacts, leads, saved reports and campaigns, the service service allows salespeople to view their prospects’ responses to all touch points and campaigns.  The service also allows sales to send marketing-approved emails to their prospects in their Salesforce.com interface.

“We are excited to bring the Act-On Service to AppExchange”,  said Raghu Raghavan, Founder and CEO of Act-On. “With this certification, we are able to bring to the Salesforce Professional Edition community the proven integrated sales and marketing solution that our Salesforce Enterprise Edition customers have been using for the last 6 months.”
