Needles Exits Silverpop To Join Left Brain Marketing

In a recent shuffling of the deck at marketing automation vendor Silverpop, demand gen evangelist and blogger Adam Needles will be departing, while Will Schnabel, an industry veteran and founder of Vtrenz will be returning from his international post to head up business development.

Needles, who has served as the company’s Director of Field Marketing and lead the charge for the company’s popular BtoB Marketing University series, will join Left Brain Marketing, a Silverpop service partner. He’ll depart from Silverpop on Friday, Sept. 17.

In an internal memo obtained by DemandGen Report, Silverpop stated: “During his time at Silverpop, Adam has been a powerful voice for thought leadership in the marketing automation arena. He has also pioneered our field marketing programs and put into place a strong event management team, which has markedly increased our visibility and lead flow at local and national events. Although Adam will certainly be missed, our commitment to both marketing automation and field events has never been stronger, and we have a solid plan in place to minimize any disruption caused by Adam’s departure.”

Schnabel will take on new responsibilities, including driving deeper integration with Silverpop's extensive ecosystem of technology and service partners.  Most recently, he spearheaded Silverpop's international operations and expansion throughout EMEA and Asia.  Schnabel joined Silverpop after its acquisition of marketing automation and lead management provider Vtrenz in 2007, where he was president and CEO.
