Silverpop Partners With Janrain To Offer Social Sign-In Capabilities To Streamline Web Visits

Through a partnership with Janrain, a provider of social identity management solutions, Silverpop customers can now offer their site visitors an alternative to web form completion. Entering a one-year exclusive agreement, Janrain selected Silverpop as its premier marketing automation provider.

HubSpot Acquires Social Media Firm Oneforty; Attempts Guinness Record For Largest Online Seminar


HubSpot
announced yesterday its acquisition of Oneforty, a social media marketing company based in Cambridge, MA. Oneforty developed a directory of social media applications that will be merged into the HubSpot App Marketplace. Additionally, Oneforty’s social media marketing tool called SocialBase also  will be incorporated into the HubSpot product.

News of the acquisition comes just two months after HubSpot acquired marketing automation provider Performable. In March 2011, HubSpot received $32 million in Series D funding from Sequoia Capital, Google Ventures, and Salesforce.com. “Having Oneforty join our team and working with them on transforming marketing is exciting,” said HubSpot CEO Brian Halligan. “The combined social media expertise of HubSpot and Oneforty will benefit all of our customers.”

Aprimo Enhances IMM Functionality Following Teradata Acquisition

Focused on combining Teradata and Aprimo’s key offerings, the enhancements offer capabilities to drive Marketing Operations, Multi-Channel Campaign Management and Marketing Performance Measurement.

Aprimo also added a new offering to its IMM suite – Aprimo Real-Time Interaction Manager, an inbound marketing and offer management solution designed to analyze all customer interactions to ensure the best offer for each individual customer is delivered in real-time.

Genius.com Expands Global Footprint With Launch Of UK Office

New Lenskold Study Shows Marketers Using Automation To Extend ROI Measurement

In addition to having improved visibility into ROI metrics, the new study found BtoB organizations employing automated solutions also have a greater probability of having highly effective and efficient marketing strategies.

According to the 2011 Lenskold Group Lead Generation Marketing ROI Study, 39% of marketers that have implemented marketing automation with CRM or sales systems were overall more likely to report and forecast revenue metrics, such as ROI and net present value (NPV), versus 24% of BtoB marketers without marketing automation.

Act-On Software Acquires Assets of Marketbright


Act-On Software
has acquired the assets of Marketbright, including its customers, intellectual property, marketing materials and knowledge base. The company will pick up Marketbright’s free email platform IP, but has other plans for upcoming freemium offerings, according to Act-On CEO Raghu Raghavan.

Newly acquired customers will join Beaverton, OR-based Act-On’s existing 350-client roster, including brands like Siemens and Motorola.

Marketing Automation Vendors Report Solid Growth Trajectory As Q2 Wraps
