Steve Gershik Joins SiriusDecisions As Vice President of Worldwide Marketing

B2B research and advisory firm SiriusDecisions today reported the appointment of Steve Gershik as Vice President of Marketing. News of the company addition comes on the heels of after another year of record growth for the firm.

Gershik, an award-winning business marketer, will be assuming responsibility for SiriusDecisions' product marketing, demand generation and corporate communications functions, as well as overseeing marketing operations and driving corporate strategy.

"One of the most pressing demand generation challenge for marketers today is managing change," Gershik told DemandGen Report. "With the shift to a buyer-centric model of selling, marketers are having to become expert in new technologies and processes to help grow their company's revenue. And they have to manage all this change while still doing their day jobs. I joined the team to help build awareness in new markets, expand our services deeper into the marketing and sales functions of B2B companies, and to increase customer satisfaction while growing revenues.   As the sales and marketing world gets ever more complex, how do we provide the research, advise and training to help our customers become the best sales and marketing professionals possible."

"We're delighted to have Steve join the SiriusDecisions team," said John Neeson, Co-Founder and Managing Director of SiriusDecisions. "As a longtime practitioner, visionary and thought leader in the B2B marketing space, we couldn't imagine a better fit to help us manage our tremendous growth."

Gershik brings more than 18 years of global B2B marketing experience to SiriusDecisions, including his roles as CEO of 28Marketing, a demand generation consulting company, and co-founding DemandCon, the demand generation conference. Previously, Gershik was VP of Marketing at TOA Technologies and Eloqua, among other technology leadership roles.

He is on the Executive Council of the Marketing Automation Institute and has been named one of the Top 50 Leaders in Sales Lead Management by the SLMA. Gershik is also in demand as a frequent speaker at industry conferences and webinars.

A former college-level instructor of English, Gershik has taught at Apple, HP and Stanford University. He holds degrees in communications and linguistics, and has done post-graduate work at Harvard University and the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business.
