Salesforce Releases Integration Cloud, New Lightning Flow Feature

Salesforce has unveiled the Salesforce Integration Cloud, a new offering powered by the company’s recent acquisition of integration platform provider MuleSoft. The Cloud is designed to help users connect disparate data throughout their cloud platform. The company also launched a new Lightening Flow feature to help marketers create a seamless, personalized customer experience across sales, service, commerce and marketing.

Salesforce Integration Cloud is designed to work in three layers. It will use MuleSoft’s integration platform to build application networks that connect apps, data and devices. The Cloud will also integrate customer data and experiences to provide a single, simplified view of customer profiles. Marketers can then manage this data through a unified administrative console and optimize the customer experience from beginning to end.

Lightning Flow is positioned to use CRM processes to automate the customer experience. It also uses tools and services, such as App Builder and Heroku, to analyze customer data and enhance the buyer experience. Marketers can use Lighting Flow to build processes with visual tools and embed them directly into touchpoints.
