Pardot Adds Web CallerID App To Allow Sales Teams To Analyze Web Visitors

Pardot, maker of the Prospect Insight marketing automation suite, recently announced the release of Web CallerID, a free application designed to help companies identify and track Web site visitors. The new app enables users to view real-time reports of companies browsing their Web site and collect in-depth data about each visitor at the micro-level.

The visitor profile displays information at the individual level, including pages viewed, time spent on each page, number of sessions or return visits and search terms used to find the site. The tracker is designed to provide real-time pop-up updates on users’ desktops. Users can also log-in and view visitor data or set up daily email digests that include updates on active visitors for the past 24 hours.

Pardot said the Web CallerID will be beneficial for both sales and marketing executives, by allowing both teams to:
•    Gauge prospect interest throughout the sales cycle by tracking a lead's online activity
•    Identify new potential prospects based on website activity
•    Identify which prospects are reacting to sales calls
•    Determine new potential target industries by analyzing incoming visitors
•    Gain access to visitor search terms to refine paid search and SEO strategy

"Web CallerID is a way for anyone with a Web site to start learning more about their prospects and customers with no cost or commitments," said Adam Blitzer, VP of Marketing, Pardot. "The anonymous visitor tracking provided by CallerID allows the sales team to closely track the actions of current leads as well as identify new potential customers. For the marketing team, the search and industry data can be a real eye-opener in terms of lead generation strategy."
