Looker Unveils Upgrades To Data Platform

Data platform company Looker has released new features and enhancements aimed to provide greater data-driven insights.

Updates in this release include:

  • Upgrades to the content experience — A new user homepage designed to deliver and suggest more relevant contextual insights and the ability for users to curate and control what they share and see.
  • Improved workflow integration — Redesigned scheduling features enable Looker users to send critical alerts and share information directly from the platform.
  • Marketing Application — Now available for customers, this program is designed to analyze relevant marketing program performance in an interactive interface.
  • Greater security and governance — A modern, centralized architecture to ensure fresh, reliable data, which also supports GDPR compliance.

“Businesses have been collecting vast amounts of data, but there’s no value until they can understand what the data is telling them,” said Frank Bien, CEO of Looker, in a statement. “We’re addressing the growing need for non-technical users in organizations of all sizes to have the most current data so they can take action to make their businesses more competitive, more profitable and more successful.”
