Act-On Software Hires Former Salesforce Exec As CMO

Michelle Huff Act OnMarketing automation provider Act-On Software has named Michelle Huff as its new CMO. Huff is tasked with leveraging her industry knowledge and product marketing experience to increase demand, maximize customer lifetime value and ultimately boost revenue, according to the company.

Huff has more than 17 years of experience leading marketing departments and their demand gen initiatives. She recently held a GM position at Salesforce’s Data.com division. Prior to that, she held senior-level positions at Oracle and Stellent — which was acquired by Oracle in 2006.

"The responsibilities and tactics used by marketers change every day, and CMOs everywhere are looking to Act-On to provide them with both the cutting-edge technology and best practices to help them stay competitive and better connect with their customers across the lifecycle," said Andy MacMillan, CEO of Act-On Software, in a statement. "Michelle's extensive background in marketing and technology will help Act-On continue to lead in the market and help our customers grow the influence and success of marketing in their own organizations."

The news comes during a time of continued growth for the company. Since the start of the year, Act-On has extended its automation capabilities into areas such as customer retention and advocacy,  and has also unveiled an ABM automation solution to boost multichannel strategies.
