ON24 Enters Virtual Event Space With New Solution; Adds Flash To Webcasts

ON24, Inc., a leading provider of webcast solutions, announced its entrance into the fast growing virtual event space. With the launch of ON24 Virtual Show, the San Francisco-based company now offers organizations a new venue for trade shows, job fairs, conferences and training.

In addition to integrating with the company’s flagship webcasting solution, which will deliver more than 25,000 webcasts per year, ON24 plans to differentiate its virtual show through more robust reporting analytics and professional networking capabilities. Some of the unique features ON24 Virtual Show is promising, include:
  • Professional & Social Networking: Allowing attendees to create profiles, set privacy preferences, and connect with other show attendees for online chats and professional networking opportunities.

  • “Smart” Booths: Utilizing the company’s patent-pending “smart booth” technology, exhibitors can recommend personalized content based on an attendee’s profile, such as business strategy for business professionals while providing technical specifications to IT attendees.

  • Multi-Lingual Support: Taking advantage of ON24’s global presence, Virtual Show will support double-byte languages and European languages, such as Chinese, French, Japanese and Spanish.

Coinciding with the unveiling of its new virtual event solution, ON24 also announced the availability of live streaming for webcasts utilizing Adobe Flash technology. This new capability will allow ON24 customers to deliver webcasts to viewers regardless of their browser or operating system, such as Mac, Linux and PC.

Based on industry estimates that Adobe Flash Player is installed on more than 98% of web-enabled computers, ON24 is expected the will greatly expand its user base. Designed to be open and completely extensible, the new ON24 console with Adobe Flash technology enables webcasts to be developed with dynamic images, audio, video and animation to capture viewers’ attention and increase their participation in the webcast.
