Brainshark, a provider of online and mobile video presentations, recently announced a partnership with enterprise software vendor Blackboard Inc. The deal will integrate the Brainshark content creation tools with Blackboard Learn for Sales, the company's cloud-based learning management solution.
The Brainshark integration will allow Blackboard Learn for Sales users to add voiceovers, along with video clips, survey and test questions, and document attachments to PowerPoint decks and other attachments. Blackboard Learn for Sales users can use the integrated offering to create interactive online and mobile video presentations for corporate e-learning courses.
Blackboard Learn for Sales users can deploy the Brainshark capabilities for sales training and professional development programs, including courses compliant with widely-adopted SCORM and AICC enterprise e-learning content standards.
The Blackboard Learn for Sales platform also offers integration with Salesforce CRM. The combined solution gives Salesforce users additional e-learning capabilities, including social and informal learning options, and analytics that track training time against sales performance.
“We’re excited to be extending our partnership with a learning industry leader such as Blackboard,” said Kate Skelly, VP of Corporate and Business Development for Brainshark. “Through our interoperability with Blackboard Learn for Sales, we’re pleased to enable Salesforce users to quickly create sales training content and deliver it through Blackboard’s system for on-demand viewing on any device.”
According to Paul Terry, GM of Blackboard's Professional Education Group, the integrated solution is designed to combine sales training and CRM in a way that allows companies to measure the return on their training investments. “Allowing a sales team to quickly create training content that is viewable on smartphones and other mobile devices creates a more engaging learning experience that supports collaborative knowledge sharing," stated Terry.
"By partnering with Brainshark, we are providing greater capabilities to our clients and helping them generate even more value from the Blackboard Learn for Sales platform.”
